A great achievement for the IRIS – Interventional Radiology In Space project!
During three Zero-G flights, 12 participants successfully demonstrated the feasibility of performing image-guided interventional radiology procedures in microgravity—an important step toward medical autonomy on future missions to the Moon and Mars.
Beyond space exploration, these innovations could also improve healthcare delivery in remote and extreme environments on Earth.
Congratulations to everyone involved, and a special thank you to our specialists, Jessica Studer and Laure Boyer, for supporting this exciting mission.
